Relics with specific evidence behind them
| Relic | Supported effect or role | Best-fit situation |
|---|---|---|
| Lightning Conductor | The 1.0 guide records a 5% chain chance, up to 5 enemies, 10 lightning damage, and +10 charge. The developer describes it as an early-game powerhouse. | A strong early pickup when the run is building around lightning and chain opportunities. The published numbers do not mean every later build should keep prioritizing it. |
| Ember Guardian | Creates 5 random buff tiles around a fire source in the 1.0-era guide. The older demo guide says 4, so use the current 1.0 value. | Useful when your fire source and tower placements can take advantage of the surrounding tiles. Random placement makes the exact benefit map-dependent. |
| Volatile Poison | When a poisoned enemy takes fire damage, it consumes half of its poison and deals twice that fire damage across 2.5 tiles; the effect has a 5-second trigger interval and can chain. | Consider it when poison application and fire hits already coexist. Without both parts of the interaction, the headline effect is not a reason by itself to choose it. |

How to choose for a run
- Start from the build you have
A lightning chain relic matters most when lightning towers and charge can actually trigger its value; a poison-fire interaction needs both statuses in the plan.
- Read the map and placement
Buff tiles and source-centered effects have value only where you can fit the towers that use them.
- Separate early power from late scaling
Lightning Conductor has a specific early-game endorsement. That is not the same as evidence that it is the best relic in every late Endless run.
- Recheck version and mode
Older community relic lists discuss early-access balance. Treat those as historical ideas unless current 1.0 values are independently confirmed.
Older recommendations to treat cautiously
Older player posts mention Ring of Shattered Ice, Unstable Mixture, Forbidden Grimoire, and Magic Dust, and discussions disagree about Fire versus Lightning in Endless. Those posts are useful leads for experimentation, but they do not settle the 1.0 meta.
